Abstract
The endoscopy in Gynecological field was used for diagnostic procedures and laparoscopic tubal sterilization, but the development of endoscopic equipment, hemostatic method, endocoagulation, and video and laser technology made advanced pelviscopic surgery possible.
The pelviscopic surgery has many advantages, compared with laparotomy as follows: shortening the operation time, shortened length of hospitalization, reduced patient morbidity, less expensive, reducing pefitoneal adhesion and possible early ambulation.
We had performed 116 cases of pelviscopic surgeries from 1st Dec. 1990 to 28th Feb. 93. The indications were tubal pregnancy(49 cases), ovarian cyst(33 cases), endometriosis(9 cases), chronic pelvic pain(6 cases), diagnostic(10 cases), uterine myoma(4 cases), foreign body(3 cases), hydrosalpinx(2 cases).
The complications associated with pelviscopic surgery were persistent ectopic pregnancy(2 cases), hemorrhage(l case), mesosalpingeal hematoma(1 cases), brachial plexus injury(1 case). In conclusion, pelviscopic surgery is useful treatment method in benign gynecological disease.
